Hartbeach Bowl, resistant to coastal influences
At Hartbeach, bringing together people who feel connected to the world of surfing is the dream. It's a place to surf, be together, and now, thanks to Nine Yards, also to skate. Wrap up your day at the beach with some great food and a skate session under the last rays of the sun.
The request from Hartbeach
Hartbeach, the surf spot of Scheveningen, asked us to think along about a multifunctional pool by the beach. The beach pavilion underwent an expansion, the terrace was enlarged next to the bowl, and an outdoor cinema was realized.
The realization by Nine Yards
Building a steel structure by the sea can be challenging. The combination of sand and salt with concrete is not the most durable. We used a special post-treatment coating, allowing the bowl to be used sustainably. It is resistant to all external influences, including corrosion.
