Pier Parade 2025: Three wild obstacles, one epic day in Breda
For Pier Parade 2025, Nine Yards designed and built three unique obstacles at Pier 15 Skatepark in Breda. The result? A one-day event where design, skateboarding, music, and culture collided in a celebration of creativity and pure energy.

Pier Parade 2025 brought together skateboarding, music, and skate culture in a way the city had never experienced before. In collaboration with Flatspot Magazine and Pier 15 Skatepark, Nine Yards created three completely custom obstacles that became the centerpiece of the event. Each one was designed to challenge skaters and surprise the crowd.

Santa Cruz Skateboards
The day kicked off with the Santa Cruz obstacle: a double spine that worked as both a mini ramp and a double rail. The design gave riders endless creative options and the session delivered. In the end, Chase Webb took home the win.

Red Bull Skate
Next up was the Red Bull wave ledge. This nine-meter-long ledge, designed in a smooth, flowing wave shape, pushed riders into technical and visually stunning lines. Chris Hoeve claimed the cheque after a heavy session.

Blue Tomato
The final obstacle was the Blue Tomato gap: a massive gap with a ship-chain rail suspended above a ball pit. This standout design brought pure spectacle and sent the crowd wild, with Taiga Nagai taking the win.

Pier Parade riders and highlights
Pier Parade drew an impressive lineup of skateboarders from across Europe and beyond, including Jake Wooten, Adrien Bulard, Rob Maatman, Dannie Carlsen, Tim Zom, and many more. While the wins were spread across the three obstacles, Adrien Bulard earned the MVP title, thanks to his consistency and a jaw-dropping tre flip to flat that had the entire crowd on their feet.

Skate culture & vibes
Pier Parade is more than a skate contest; it’s an experience. While riders were throwing down on the custom-built obstacles, DJ Redbeard and Killahtapes kept the energy high with music, and live performances by Fellatio, Pim Piet, and closing act BUG gave the day a full-on festival vibe.
